About Amanda

Amanda is a full time dance instructor well loved for her friendly and energetic teaching style. She has been involved in dance since 1999 and has trained both locally and in the United States, Argentina, Singapore and Cuba.  She has operated and owned Dance Amanda since 2010, was formerly the co-principle instructor at Juan Rando Dance Academy in Perth, and invited to teach for a year in Houston Texas with Mario and Stephanie Robau.

Amanda’s teaching philosophy focuses on developing sound dance technique, partner connection and the enjoyment of dance. She has taught dance since 2001, and teaches all levels from beginner to instructor. Amanda also holds a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Western Australia.

Her dance repertoire includes Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing, Brazilian Samba no Pe, Salsa (Linear On1 and On2, Cuban), Bachata, and Cha Cha. Amanda teaches both group classes and private lessons and is available for group, couple and wedding choreography.

Amanda has choreographed performance routines for both individual couples and groups in West Coast Swing, Tango, Salsa and Samba. Her choreographies have been presented at international and national dance events including the Dancing With The Stars (Australia), Canadian Swing Championships, the US Grand National Dance Championships, Sydney Salsa Congress, Australian Dance Festival, The Best of The Best West Coast Swing Congress, Swingsation and more.
